OneLock — Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

OneLock is a family-safety app that blocks distracting apps and websites on your device. This policy explains what OneLock does and does not do with your information.

01 · What we do and do not collect

OneLock blocks websites and apps entirely on your device. We never record which sites you visit, which apps you open, or any of your traffic — there is no browsing history on our side, ever. No analytics or advertising SDKs are included in the app.

The only thing that reaches our server is a small check-in the app sends every few seconds, so a parent can see on their dashboard that protection is really running. It contains: the app version, your device model and Android version, a device serial, and whether the filter is switched on. It carries no browsing, messages or files.

You can use the filter with no account at all. The check-in is only sent once you sign in — without an account, nothing leaves your device.

02 · Account deletion and refunds

Accounts are deleted after 60 days of inactivity. Inactivity means OneLock has not checked in from any of your devices for 60 days — in practice, that the app was uninstalled or has not been switched back on. This is done to free capacity for new users.

When that happens, OneLock stops working. The app is not removed from your phone, but it no longer filters or blocks anything, and your account and its data are deleted permanently.

We email you before it happens, telling you how many days you have left. Notices go out with 30, 7 and 1 day remaining. Opening OneLock and switching the filter on at any point resets the clock and cancels the deletion.

A one-time purchase is tied to your Google Play account and is not refunded if the account is deleted for inactivity.

03 · How filtering works — everything stays on your device

OneLock uses Android's standard VpnService to filter network traffic locally on your phone. When a DNS lookup is made, the app checks it against the block rules you selected and either allows it or blocks it, entirely on-device. No traffic is routed through, or recorded by, any server we operate. Block rule settings and your preferences are stored only on your device.

04 · Call screening — the spam-call filter

Call screening runs on the phone. OneLock reads the incoming number only to decide whether to ring, silence or block the call, and compares it against a short list kept on the device. Calls from anyone in your contacts are never passed to the app at all. We do not record who called you, when they called, or how often.

Two things do leave the phone, and both are deliberate. First: if someone taps Report spam on a screened call, that one number is sent to our server so your family's other phones block it as well — never the call itself, and never who received it. Second: the app sends a daily count of how many calls it blocked and silenced, which is what the status in the family admin panel is built from. A count carries no number and no time.

The reported numbers form one shared list that every phone on your account reads. That list is editable: from the admin panel a number can be marked to ring instead, or taken off entirely, and each phone applies the change on its next check-in. The list is never shared with anyone outside your account.
